I know some/most of you have already heard it, but Greg Abbott has passed tonight from a heart attack. Just spreading the word and passing it on.
This I know for certain. He will be missed. |

You posses a sharp and keen intellect. Your mind is your primary weapon. Strong willed, nothing can keep you down. Your energy can break down any wall. You're an instantly passionate person - and this passion gives you an intoxicating power over others.
At your worst, you are a narcissist. Full of yourself and even proud of your faults. Stubborn and opinionated, you know what you think is right. End of discussion. A bit of a misanthrope, you often see others as weak, ignorant, and inferior. |

So, Stephanie and I went to eat at Lettuce Souprise you, and we were sitting next to some girls who I assumed went to Emory. They were being a little loud, and try as I might not to pay attention, I have a bad habit on listening in on conversations (Besides, its their fault).
They were mentioning that one of their friends lived in a "retirement home" on Clairmont. I mentioned that I lived there as well. One of them asked, "Are you a seminary student?" Me: ". . . No. Actually, I'm a Management major, which I guess is the opposite of a seminary student." With that, they stop talking for a moment, then go back to their next topic at hand.
Thank you, and good day.

| » Random Tidbit of Humor |
So, even though I don't consider myself to be in improv with DramaTech anymore, I still frequent thier after-worshop gatherings. On this most recent excursion, I formed a pool of money to have one of our crazy California friends go into the kitchen of a southern restaurant and ask the Mexican cooks if their whipped sugar on top of her pie was made from Splenda. The pot was raised to $2 and she decided to go forth and take on the bet. Hilarity ensued.
Pretty much, from her description, she was not allowed to talk through the little window where the meals were passed from the kitchen to the waitresses, but she was allowed into the kitchen themselves. When she brought forth her question, she was given blank stares and those of confusion. She walked out of the kitchen burst into laughter and told us her story. Best two dollar bet....ever.
Half way through my first volley of tests.
Accounting 2 - 38.5/50 - I did really well compared to the rest of the class. Highest was a 42.5 and the class average was a 24. Management Science [sic] - 95/100 - Even though the TA thinks that 4 points off and 1 point off means I get a 94, I know better and I let my professor know. He's in the process of getting it changed. Rockzor.
So, half way through flipping a Technique (Tech's school newspaper), I lazily looked down a box of Slivers. These slivers are little tidbits that students submit online to blow off steam or just to generally be amusing. For those that know World of Warcraft, I saw in a sliver, "LEEROY JENKINS". Amazed, but not suprised, I walk into my class with a grin on my face.
Their, I updated...I go back hiding under my rock now.

Where to begin... I guess with the start
Summer Employment: I work at OIT on campus. Yea, that's right. A former CS major is now going around and fixing computers. Funny Eh?
Summer Play: I was Lyle in When Ya Comin Back, Red Ryder?. I learned many things. One of them, I will never be a cripple...ever. It sucked. I also re-learned my lesson on spirit gum. Every night, right after the curtain call, I'd have to pull masking tape off my legs and pull my 'moustache' off. After dancing around, getting feeling back in my right leg, and saying a few choice words about the pain every show night, I think I'd rather not go through that again. But such is acting and I know that I'll put myself in a situation where I have to use spirit gum and become a cripple in another show. *shrug*
Girlfriend: Yes, that's right. I have a new girlfriend. Stephanie Sellers. New freshman at Tech and at DT. Dunno what happened, but I definitely ain't questionin it. So, along with the new relationship thing, I'm also helping with, 'getting used to college' thing.
DT: Just finished Open House. Jon Olson, those of you that don't know, was the Open House chair this year and he did a GREAT job. Not only was the show a great success, but we've also pulled a decent number of freshman. This is the first time this has happened since my freshman year.
School: Management major. Easy classes. Need I say more?
Fall Employment: Between classes, I'm also working part-time 20 hours for OIT still. Its cool, I go to school for class MWF and I go to school for work TR. The only bad parts is that on Monday I'm in the same building from 9am to 8 pm and I have to wake up at 5 am to catch the bus so I can get to work on time.
Warcraft: *just joking*
Its odd to have the past several months summarized so breifly, but here it is.

Accidentally two days ago I got the topic of ex-girlfriends stuck in my head and I can't seem to ignore it or change topics. I can already see the first stage of minor depression setting in; nothing really wrong, but I know how to combat it. After all this time, I've come to the understanding that I still might care about a particular ex but I really don't think she would be interested in going back out...(basically, I'm under the assumption that what she said about a year ago still stands) In any case, I can't do anything about it because she's not in Atlanta and I hate making the first move over the Internet.
My friends keep telling to search outside of the DramaTech crowd. Hell, they're also telling me to search outside of Tech. But as with my previous girlfriend, I find that they lack of a vechile is incredibly hindering to any meeting efforts. Not to mention, it also blows because it doesn't really let me get outside of Tech.
Work's going alright and Rehearsal is...going. Rehearsal isn't bad, but its eating up a lot of my time.
Oh, and WoW people, I'm playing a hunter named Kaelith, check it out.

Well, got myself two interviews this week. One on Monday at CVS near my location and one at Marble Stab at Tech on Wednesday. And, I'm expecting another email to come soon from OIT, so one of those is bound to pan out, right?
So, I auditioned for the DT summer play "When You Comin Back, Red Ryder?". Got cast...as a cripple. I'm definitely not complaining about the part. Its not a lead, but its big enough to keep me busy. Those of you that don't read Fountainheadsam's LJ, yes, there is some sexual undertones between me and Erin. Eh, its a play, I mean, come on, I'm mature enough (now) to handle it.
Mad Kudos to AJ. In his drunken state, he did me a huge favor and managed to burn me a cd of Eddie Izzard audio files. He is a freakin awesome transvestite comedian and I highly advised listening/watching him at least once.
Eh, we'll see what happens and I'll keep you LJ buddies informed as always.

| » I know its been awhile. I'VE BEEN BUSY!!! |
So, yea, summer time in Atlanta is much better and much more interesting than that of humid and boring St. Marys.
I'm now living with fountainheadsam, jaila,
and Chronomadra. Huzzah for no longer living in dorms. I'm using marta
to get from here to there when the people with cars aren't here or
aren't awake.
And, the big thing recently is...I'm looking for a job.
I've turned in many an application for lots of places. So hopefully one
of them will pan out. I know have memorized my address and phone number
from having to write it down so many times.
So, on to the reason why I'm posting. After living in Atlanta for now
three years, I figured I'd at least not be phased by anything anymore.
The weird, the strange, and the ugly. However, today broke that ideal.
As I was walking to the Tech Trolley bus stop by the Management
building, I saw a man dressed up what can be desribed as a black
woman's bathingsuit with black and yellow butterfly wings, blowing a
whistle and twirling a baton around. I have to say this. I AM NOT
MAKING THIS UP.
In other news, I apparently have been steadily losing weight ever since I dropped my meal plan. Coincidence? I think not.
Now, if I can just get a darn job, I'd be one happy guy.
